Frequently Asked Questions
The short answer is “Yes.” I spent ten of the best years of my life researching “what should have worked.” I fine- tuned with various iterations of ingredients known to benefit skin and work well with Keratosis Pilaras (those tiny bumps that generally are found on the back of the arms or legs – sometimes referred to as Chicken Skin Arms). While I don’t claim this product to be a drug, I know you will love the results, like we do. Unlike a drug, you won’t have to worry about the side effects from a bunch of multi-syllable ingredients that you can’t pronounce.
Spritz into your cupped hand for application to the body. I don’t recommend you spray directly onto your face or body because oil droplets can fling into unexpected places – like your clothes. I found the serum works best if it is applied about five to ten minutes prior to getting dressed. Unlike other oils, that remain on the skin and then, ultimately, on your clothes, my serum will absorb shortly after application. To spruce up the back of your hands during the day, spray a small pump on the back of one hand, then apply to the backs of both hands by rubbing your backs of your hands together, palms out.
While I created this serum for the bumpy skin on the backs of my own arms, it took me about two days to realize I love the smell and feel so much that my whole body craved it. So I apply it to my legs, body, lightly on my face, use for a massage, feet, hair to add shine or for a manicure/pedicure. How you can’t use it: Don’t drink it or put it inside your body. It is meant for external use only.
Yes, absolutely. To make sure you like the combination, I suggest trying a little area of skin first.
Yes a little goes a long way. Directions: One or two sprays in the center of your palm depending on how much hair you have rub your hands together then start applying to dry hair on the ends first then all over, continue to style or brush your hair.
We can’t say exactly how long your bottle will last since it depends on how often you apply, what areas of your body you use it on and how much skin you have. This said, for me, I use about ten spritzs after the shower, which covers my legs, arms, core and a little dab on my face where I have fine lines or dryness. With an eight ounce bottle mine lasts about three months.
Dalby Day is formulated with a variety of oils that have different ‘freezing’ temperatures some as high as 76˚ F. We could have used oils that did not freeze at high temperatures, or oils that had been ‘winterized’ which means chemically modified so they don’t freeze at high temperatures, neither of these options would have created the perfect serum. Our product was designed to work with your skin. When it’s cold out, your skin gets dry, Dalby Day Skin Smoothing Serum, changes with the weather like your skin, so it is perfectly balanced to give your skin the moisturization and youthful glow that we all want.
